Hi
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good freelance dressage trainer who'd be able to help me with my new 4 year old? I'm hoping to affiliate him later this year, but would really benefit from some expert advice.
I'm based near Stow on the Wold / Chipping Norton and ideally am after someone who'd travel to my yard.
Any recommendations would be gratefully received. :)

Roger Gregory used to go to Oxford and give lessons, I don't know if he still does but it's worth giving him a call. He's great with young horses and has brought his home bred mare onto working at PSG quite successfully. He's a very kind trainer with regards to the horse, doesn't believe in gadgets as a quick fix and is great at thinking around problems if the 'usual' way of doing things doesn't work.
His contact details are here: http://www.britishdressage.co.uk/training_and_judging/find_a_trainer/trainer_details/3153?county=0&surname=gregory
It's easier to text him or phone him on his mobile. He does check his emails but not that often ;)

I'm not sure of these few who'd be able to travel, but I had lessons with (and thoroughly reccomend) the following instructors. I was absed in south glos, but it's only half an hours drive up to Stow...

Adam Kemp & Matt Frost both compete up to Grand Prix - Adam has been a notable trainer for some time, and Matt is a little younger but is a 'protogee' of Carl Hester. Both very enthusiastic teachers, and based at Billow Farm Livery in Gloucestershire.
I also enjoyed the lessons I had with Tessa Thorne and Sam Rahmatella who were based over in Tetbury.

One of the best trainers in the country is literally round the corner from you! Gareth won't travel but must only be about 5 miles from you.

Another vote here for Matt, he comes up to us to do RC lessons.
