The harness I borrowed isn't a suitable fit for driving but it's ok to play in and do all the groundwork for breaking in with. Bry was a star, the only thing she was a bit unsure of was the crupper (?) under her tail, but fair play, I wouldn't like a bit of leather shoved up my arse either.

S'cuse the muddy pony she was dragged in from the field wet.

As you can see in this pic, I had trouble keeping the reins where they should be and boy was steering hard.

I'm still struggling with the crupper too.

Sooooooo.................. what plans do you have for your next training session?

I will try her with the whip next time, will use a lunge whip for now. Maybe in a week or so I will put the bridle with the blinkers on. My YO has given me instructions on how to do various bit and pieces.

Looking good. Crupper often takes a bit of getting used to! Be prepared for spookiness as well when you first try blinkers, they can make them quite jumpy at first.
