Hi, needing a little bit of advise please!!

I noticed my horse started on coughing on friday. He has no discharge from his nose, but he does seem a little quieter than normal.

A couple of the other horses on the yard have seemed a little off colour but none of them are coughing & seem back to their normal selves now.

I am giving him NAF kof-eze morning & night. I walked him out lightly on sun for half an hour. I have continued turning him out as presumably being out is better than in but am wondering whether this is something which I should let run its course, or should I get him seen by a vet? Or only see a vet if it worsens? Other than the actual cough he seems ok.

Even after donkeys years of horses I;ve never actually had one which developed a cough or cold so i'm not sure of the ins & outs.

Your advice woudl be much appreciated!! x

it could either be the dust particles is the bedding and hay(if you feed hay) thats causing it or he actually has an infection.

if the other horses on the yard are looking a bit sick too it might be worth getting the vet to run some blood tests just to be sure the horse doesnt need antibitoics.
