strange itchy spots....... HELP!!!!!!!!!

my horse has got strange itchy spots on his back end and the odd one over his body, these seam to come and go apart from the ones on his back end. they are that itchy he sits like a dog in the field rocking back and forth itchy it......kids find it so funny. i have tried everything, the vet said to hibiscrub them so i did, someone said he might be too hot so i reduced he rugs and that didnt help. i tried rubbing suducrem into them which he enjoyed but it didnt work i have tried tea tree oil spray which didnt work, my friend said to clip him and that didnt help. so i please need help from anyone else who have had strange itchy spots and overcome them

Wonder if his itching could be caused by allergies? My dog has food allergies and gets an itchy rash if he eats something he shouldn't. The only way to treat it is to feed him sulphur tablets from the homeopathic vet (the regular vet goes down the steroid injection route) and keep him away from anything he's allergic to.

Might be worth having a good evaluation of the types of plant or grass in his field, and the ingredients in his feed. Good luck! :)

My friend's horse has a similar problem - she has tried all sorts to get rid - nothing has made any difference.
