Hi everyone, ? parelli question

hi, i have been doing parelli with my 3 an a half yr old welsh gelding.

we have only got as far as the friendly game and 1 go at game #2 because my horse hates the wind and its always windy at night here in the winter.

He is a right brain extrovert. i have been taking him in the indoor school but it has open sides. He gets fast, sticks his head up and won't listen, he's fine whilst doing the friendly game but is not calm if you try to do anything else.

Does anyone know how i can help him get used to the wind?

im trying to get my 3 year old used to the wind and the rain too. he hates it. i just been walking him around and then trying him to walk on the lunge but he normally just ends up cantering and bucking...:confused:

when i ride him hes better but just does little bucks/bounces...

im not too worried about it, im jut not going to teach him anything new or stress if hes "naughty" until the weather gets better.

My 3 year old lives out 24/7 and the weather doens't seem to bother him at all, but it bothers my old mare, she gallops around like a frenzied nutcase.

Just repeat as he doesn;t seem to understand what you want him to do and with the wind freaking him out, you aren't making any progress. Save it for the non windy days (its always windy here too) you have plenty of time, he is only 3 :)
