She was such a good girl at my friends place. This is us jumping about 90cm. She has just come so far these holidays. But were still working on a bit of impulsion going into the jump otherwise she runs out or pig jumps it. xD http://file037b.bebo.com/7/large/2008/01/17/10/4601865654a6641191509l.jpg
But were going to a pretraining ODE (80cm) on the 3rd of feb and im totally freaking out. so can you critique both of us please? Thanks

Your looking great to be honest - the both of you!
Just bring those elbows back and maintain a contact all over the jump - tilt your hands towards you so you (so you can see your thumbnail) can make an emergency release or the horse stretches more than you expected over the jump or when landing. You want to keep the contact, because as soon as you land you'll need to be ready to make the best line you can to your next jump.

nice release, goodcenter of gravity. although, as someone already said, you need to maintain a little contact over the fence so all you have to do it sit up and you have the pre jump contact to proceed. perhaps try shortening your reins a little?
i dont know whether it is the point that the photo is taken but your horse looks to me as if he/she has flattened slightly. try a mor collected (underneath you) canter as you approach and look for your stride and thiss will help :)

Yeah hand contact practise collecting before a jump.
A good practise is jumping of a 20 meter circle to encourige a nice collection before the jump, also I would be inclined to practise doing some cross poles to encourage your lovely horse to tuck up in front, but the collection issue will help it.

Looks good to me! Toes are the main critique point for me but I'll leave the rest to the experienced guys!

Echo keeping rein contact over the fence, you have totally given your reins away, if it were a double you'd be in trouble! Hehe
If you tried to jump a style with toes like that you'd end up in the air like a thelwell rider! Lovely horse :)

yep same as everyone else about keeping the contact, try letting the horse, as it jumps upwards, come up to you, so you are standing in the saddle and let him reach you instead of your hands to his head and your reings drooping. But nice jumping pony!

You guys are looking pretty perfect! Ditto on the contact thing, if you bring your elbows back and apply some contact your shoulders will go back more and you'll have a nice Equitation possition!
I love your horse she's so cute <3 and it looks like your jumping boot managed to make it's way to the front instead of the inside :p Nice Work!!
