Leaky teats but defo not pregnant.......

Anyone ever come across this? A friend has a mare whos teats leak, she can be milked (It was on vet advice) but they just fill up again. It is sometimes clear and can be a vague milky colour. Vet said no infection.

It could be mastitis? My mare had this when I got her and had to be milked.

Phantom pregnancy? unusual in horses apparently, but my mare had one and was leaking for about a week.

Vet said not mastitis. I think she is having her checked for it again though.

How long would a phantom last? She has been like this since ive known her, thats about 5yrs. It does come and go
