Hi again,
yet another question!!
This is about a little boy that I have.
He's 8 mths now, and he has a heck of alot of bone. His legs are very solid and chunky.
The thing is, if he's in the stable walking around, something is clicking.
Its not coming from the stifle area.
After monitoring, it seems to appear mostly in the right fetlock area, but happens in all 4 lower leg joints at times.
Now, Ive already had the vet out to look at him, but I'm still not convinced, and am thinking about going for a second opinion, but thought I'd ask here before spending out on yet another vets bill!!
The vet has said its basically growing pains, and the rate at which he is growing, since he will be a big, solid horse.
He observed him both in and out of the stable. Outside, he appears fine, very lively, and definately sound with excellent movement from both the front and the back.
Any other ideas? Should I be considering x-rays at this stage, or is it purely growth related? Its just I have never heard this in a foal!!
I am now listening to every creak when he's in, and just getting wound up about it, and starting to fret :{
