Am putting this on this section cause am hoping I won't get the 'you're talking a load of tosh cause it can't be scientifically proven' people.
Basically I do Reiki but haven't been doing much for ages. Used to do it a lot on horses when I was on a livery yard but now that I'm on my own it doesn't get used much. Just like a muscle it needs practice and the more practice I get the stronger and better it gets.
Therefore was wondering if anybody would like me to send them or their horse Reiki (think of it a bit like transmitting on radio waves). I'd really like to help those that can't really afford to pay someone to visit and I will be limited to how many I can do as I have a very busy life!
However if you would like some then just let me know and we can arrange a time when it can be sent. No side effect and the least it has ever done is made people/horses feel better in themselves. Can treat physical and emotional/behavioural problems. No guarantees as to how much it will achieve but it can be spectacular!
Note: Just to add that in doing these I have discovered that I am actually getting a lot of information through that would be called 'animal communication' and it's proving fairly accurate (phew!). I've always sensed the information but never before had the courage to tell people and risk being shot down in flames as completely wrong! Therefore I am sending Reiki and will happily just do that but in addition I get information that I will gladly share with you if you wish. Just no promises as to how accurate I will be so please be kind!

yay! another reiki person :) i'm doing my practisioners course at the start of march. i can certainly vouch for the fact that reiki works and anyone taking up fanshawe's kind offer wouldn't be putting themselves or their horses at any risk. We saw amazing results with our Bonnie and reiki, really freed up a 'blockage' resulting from her laminitis

I would like some help if you could spare the time? I've posted a thread about my troubles, not sure if they are physical or behavioral yet.
Not sure how to add an link, hopefully this will work:

All I need is name and rough location- county will do but the more precise the easier it is! Then it needs to be a quiet time when they can relax-often they fall asleep or become calmer. Takes about half an hour. You can give me as much or as little information as you like and I can give you information that I pick up.
It treats anything and everything with varying results depending on length of time and how severe. I have treated anything from lameness to athritis to fear and aggression.

My pony is Bramble a 13.3hh New Forest, I am having amazing trouble keeping weight on her, I think she is feeling strange or unsettled but can't pinpoint the problem, do you have any ideas?

29th Jan 2008, 03:34 PM
Ok I think what is best to do is that I will sit down tmrw evening at 8pm and do group work- yes it is possible and doesn't affect the treatment. I'll limit it to those that have answered so far and then any more that come along I'll do Friday night at the same time. If anyone would prefer Sat daytime then let me know. I'll do general reiki then focus on each in turn to try to pick up anything else. Fingers crossed it hasn't got too rusty! :)

Oh thanks so much!
Here's a link to a thread with some pictures of him.
http://www.newrider.com/forum/showthread.php?t=133555
He's about 20 years old, IDx. I'm afraid I know nothing of his history, but he does have a very locked neck, his chriopractor thinks it's an old injury which has fused, but not causing him any pain. He lives in Belton, near Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, on a marsh field (just trying to paint a picture!)
Tomorrow at 8 would be perfect for us, it's a couple of hours after his tea, and the yard is quiet by then. He'll be standing with his mate munching hay. Should I be there with him?
Thanks again, you're very kind. x

No worries. Am glad I might be able to help. You can be with him if you want to. You may not see a lot or you may see him relax or keep very still. One horse I treated simply laid down flat and went to sleep in the middle of the day- started snoring and everything! Others simply rest.
Oh and everyone I forgot to mention one thing that might happen is that they become slightly stiffer immediately afterwards. Never lasts more than 24 hrs and is just the body resetting itself so never aything to worry about!

Good luck, Fanshawe! Practice is always good. I am a Reiki Master/teacher and have been for a few years now, so I know about all the great things that healings can do.
A word of advice to those humans who get a treatment: Remember to drink lots of water in the days after, cos you will be expelling lots of toxins after a treatment.

Fanshawe I'd love you to *book* skye in for Saturday if that is ok?
She is a 21 year old arabian/welsh mare. At the moment she is suffering from very sore back muscles that are keeping her in box rest for 2 months. She also has very bad arthritis in her knees. We are keeping her comfortable with supplements and medication but aren't sure if we'll have her around for much longer.

Fanshawe and Roka, I have had 3 reiki treatments so far and am planning to have another couple then do my attunement (?). Trouble is, I have felt really grotty after each one (and ended up passing kidney stones after the last one!). Is this normal? I am a bit put off by it and am wary of trying it on my horses although thats why I started it all in the first place.
Have you seen the thread posted by kizza07 about the auras. It is incredible and she hit the nail on the head totally about my boy.

Wow Thank you for taking the time with Ludo cant believe some of the things that you have picked up on:D
Fanshawe
1st Feb 2008, 09:35 PM
Yes it is fairly normal to feel grotty afterwards and then feel better. Think of it like having a detox and all the horrible stuff being flushed out- in your case quite literally! Seems like you have a natural sensitivity to it so you should really benefit from the attunement. Horses generally have a lot less 'rubbish' in their systems and let a lot more go so therefore the effects are normally less 'grotty' though they occassionally go stiffer for 24hrs before improving. The energy will only work at the level and strength that the receiver wants to receive so don't worry about it with horses- they will manage it to whatever level they ned/can cope with.
I have seen Kizzas post and it is great to see her using her skills and everyone supporting her. She is doing a great job and it's wonderful that people are benefiting. I do a similar thing alongside my Reiki but don't tend to see colours- I feel a diffenece in the texture of the energy if that makes sense. Just remember to send her lots of positive thoughts to help her keep going!

Hi Fanshaw,
Are you still doing another session tomorrow (Mon 4th) at 8pm. Would be very greatful if you could 'look' at my left shoulder - its very tight and achey and also Woody - he has a problem with saddling (everythings been checked - may be psychosematic) and for no apparent reason can 'go off on one'!
Many thanks

QUOTE=Fanshawe]
Prince came across as a considerate and thoughtful horse-he was concerned about me! He very much likes the fun that you have and loves you very much. He perks up wehn he talks about you and what you do! Does he have a tendency to stick his head over the hedge?
The two areas of his back that seemed to show up were at the top of his withers and at the back of his saddle. Did he use to have a badly fitting saddle- too narrow? He seemed to enjoy the Reiki on his back and I also treated his feet. Are his hinds more prone to the bruising?
Hope it all helped and would love any feedback though not too hopeful about my accuracy![/QUOTE]
Wow you got Prince pretty spot on I would say although so far front and hind both bruise as easy as each other !!
He had done one really runny poo in the stable last night, all the others were normal, how weird is that ?!
He was also extra affectionate and cuddly today, maybe he was saying Thanks for me getting you to help him :D
I on the other hand have had a fuzzy hangover head all day and been knackered but my arm is 99% better so if this is you on an off day , girl you'll set the world on fire on a good day !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D

Here is mine and W's results (my comments are in italics)
Your shoulder seemed very straightforward a bit like you have pulled/wrenched it. The root of it is in the neck and between the shoulder blades so make sure you do lots of work to keep that area flexible and moving. I experienced a series of light stinging sensations and this morning am free of pain and completely flexible
Woody came across as a real gentleman but can be quite grumpy at times! He doesn't like strong smells but does like big hugs (though at times he may pretend not to!) He likes to be talked to and sung to? (though again may pretend to be a bit aloof to it all!) Can be very aloof! He mentioned a posh saddle and bridle that were really soft? My lovely flair has a puncture, am awaiting it being fixed! Am currently riding in my (harder) jumping saddle. Also started using my stubben bridle again a few weeks ago.He has a sensitive girth area so just be gentle with it. YUP!He likes to be useful and needed and enjoys his work. Some days he seems like he is not enjoying things - maybe feeling a little sore - will bear it in mind.
The saddle seems to fit ok but I think he has twisted himself in the past possibly in the stable and the muscles have been sore because of it. Nothing major but just got blocked/tight. A year ago the horse masseur said he thought W had gone over on one side in the field quite hard as had tight muscles all down from his back 'round'/down over the back end of his ribcage.Has he reared in the past? Yes, big style! If so I think he may have fallen backwards before. He kind of has temper tantrums associated with his grumpiness but also because of when his muscles have been sore. Some days it is better than others. Keep talking to him and giving him hugs. Tell him how special he is and it will all help! The other thing that I am not sure about and wasn't a big thing but was mentioned was do you ride with more weight on your left side? Yes! Maybe trying too hard to ride straighter....Not a major thing for him he just commented on it.
Would love any feedback you can give me. thanks
All in all, the most useful 'insider' info I could get! Lots of things to bear in mind..... This morning he was quite aggitated which is unlike him!
HUGE Thank you.

Cuddly (aloof-ish!) and very settled tonight. Walked up from field like a lamb! If I go to kiss him on the nose he shoves his ears flat back!!!!! Maybe its like 'Mother kissing her teenage son in public'!!!!!
Lol. Quite likely! He's got to get used to the changes and he can't be too good or look too happy to have attention or he'll seem a wimp! :)

Hi Fanshawe
Are you still doing some sessons. You did my small grey rescue pony and my friends pony Felix. I was so impressed and would love for you to include my Alfie who is my loan pony who i have had for 3 yrs. he is 5yrs old.
My little grey you said had had someone far to heavy on his back and we think this is so true as when we first rescued him he was fine with my young son but exploded into a bucking session when my elder one got on and it was definitely a scared/ pain reaction. I am due to have his teeth looked at also as he seems to make such a mess when eating apples and carrots.!!

I have to apologise to all of tonights group. I think I may have been a bit too off form to have been as accurate and effective as I would like. I should have remembered that if you are not feeling right in yourself then you should wait till you are. I think I may have got some crossed messages tonight. Admittedly I have a good reason for being off form- I had a baby goat die this afternoon in a tragic accident- but I should have postponed instead of not doing my best. Sorry and will do better next time. Also if you want me to redo it then let me know.

Thank you everyone who has given me guinea pigs! I have learnt a lot. My lessons are as follows:
1. Don't try to do too many in one night no matter how much you want to help!
2. Don't try to do it when you have been emotionally shaken up.
3. Get plenty of sleep!
4. It takes longer than you think to write everything up!!!
5. Don't interpret too much- sometimes the image is more accurate than you think! - thanks Skippy's mum for that one!
6. People are very kind and helpful and look after their horses well even if they do feel guilty like me for not doing more!!! :) Their horses keep telling me they appreciate how they are cared for so we must be doing ok!
6. The feeling of connecting is wonderful and more real than I believed in the past.
7. I can do it and all that info I used to get is actually right and I'm not going mad!!!
8. I want to do more and one day do it professionally as well as run a retreat for horse and owner where they both get treated and work on the communication between them. I'd also like to find out if the communication I do can be taught/learnt.
I'm going to get my friend to set me up a website and was wondering if I could have your thoughts as to costs? I was thinking:
Distant healing/communiction, 1/2hr complete attention= £15
Hands on treatment 1hr= £30 plus travel if over say 30 miles.
Then I would also do discounts for horse and rider or more than one horse.
In addition I would do group sessions like I have been doing with a maximum of 6 (unlike the 12 at a time it has been!) and they would be an optional £5 to me or a charity so that those who really can't afford it can still benefit.
What do you think?
How does that sound?
kaytenherponies
9th Feb 2008, 07:43 AM
That sounds very fair for a guide to prices.
I particularaly like the last bit you added about people who cant afford it. But be careful, not all people are as generous and honest as you.

Thank you everyone who has given me guinea pigs! I have learnt a lot. My lessons are as follows:
1. Don't try to do too many in one night no matter how much you want to help!
Correct! Hard lesson sometimes though. And have in mind that you also have to learn to say no, and some you just cannot help no matter what. (That is especially true for people, if they won't accept the energies there is nothing you can do)
2. Don't try to do it when you have been emotionally shaken up.
Very important!
3. Get plenty of sleep!
Yes, and water!
4. It takes longer than you think to write everything up!!!
Sure does! That is why an animal communication takes 1-2 hours for me to do (healing a bit less)
5. Don't interpret too much- sometimes the image is more accurate than you think! - thanks Skippy's mum for that one!
Yes - trust your intuition. It can be hard though, it took me years to learn that.
6. People are very kind and helpful and look after their horses well even if they do feel guilty like me for not doing more!!! :) Their horses keep telling me they appreciate how they are cared for so we must be doing ok!
True.
6. The feeling of connecting is wonderful and more real than I believed in the past.
:D Keep it up!
7. I can do it and all that info I used to get is actually right and I'm not going mad!!!
Of course you are not! But other people might think so and it is their opinion that can be hard to take. Trust your skills!
8. I want to do more and one day do it professionally as well as run a retreat for horse and owner where they both get treated and work on the communication between them. I'd also like to find out if the communication I do can be taught/learnt.
Sounds great. :) The communication you do can indeed be taught, to anyone who is interested in opening up and working spiritually but they have to want to learn it and not all are sensitive to the same degree, as you know from the Reiki.
I'm going to get my friend to set me up a website and was wondering if I could have your thoughts as to costs? I was thinking:

What do you think?
Very reasonable prices when you first start out, I charged the same when I first started. But I never set a timeframe on it, I can't work with that. I want to do a complete session and if it takes longer it just does. A distant healing should not take more than half an hour though unless the animal is very sick.
Have you found that distant healings are more powerful than hands-on ones? It is like that for me. :)
How does that sound?
You are doing well Fanshawe, from the sound of things! :) Are you an animal communicator as well?
Keep up the good work! I have to ask you though, how do you do the group sessions? You can PM me if you don't like posting on here. I am not saying you do something wrong, not by far, I am just interested to know how others work.
Fanshawe
9th Feb 2008, 10:04 AM
Thank you Roka I really appreciate that. I'm not too worried about being seen as being mad it's been like that my entire life! Lol. I'm used to the strange looks and people laughing at me behind their hands. Gets easier with age and now I don't care. I just value the ones who support me and know that no matter what science or logic says I have too much proof that it works. If it makes animals and humans happy then that's all I care about.
Yes I am an animal communicator as well though I hadn't realised that I was accurate till I did this and never really told people what I knew! I just hoped that what I heard and saw was real because it was always so special. It's information that I have been getting since I can remember but never really had verified because it's so scary risking telling people if you get it wrong!! :) This thread has given me so much confidence and realisation that I can do it and even with a few glitches I do much better than I ever believed possible. There have been times when there have been tears in my eyes because I am so happy that it has helped and that is priceless. I just want to be able to do it as a job and I have to pay the bills somehow!! :)
I've found that distant healings are easier to communicate as there are a lot less distractions in my sitting room than on a busy yard! I'm not sure about whether the healing is better yet though as I haven't done much hands on for a while, especially with my increased Reiki muscle now! The good thing about distant if it's as effective, is that it also saves the planet as less travelling!
When I do the group healing, once I've set myself up (tuned in etc), then I connect with all that I'm sending it to- say a quick hello and ask if they want it. Then go back and go through each of them one by one. That way I can keep sending out Reiki for the full time I'm doing it and tune in to an individual for 5/10 mins to give them a one on one boost/diagnosis (not that I replace a veterinary diagnosis though!) and focus on the communication. Sometimes some info comes in when I say hello and I have to remember to write it down. The hardest part is remembering everything and having the courage to give the information. I think I need a secretary to dictate to! Lol
Thanks again Roka and wonderful to talk to someone else like me. :)

Not as big as mine when I walked out of the yard without the normal "kick kick kick come on kallum walk a bit faster" Honestly, once at my old yard a man of about 90 walking his dog overtook us on the road away from home. Interesting point though I doubt anybody is that motivated to search in the rough area of a town for a specific horse/pony they have seen on a photo that may or may not be worth stealing. Much more likely to spot one out on the roads/at a show/advert in a paper than bother with one on here. However as I have said all the way through anybody who doesn't want to put the info on the thread can always pm me with it. Thanks for making people more aware though.

14th Feb 2008, 07:08 PM
Lol no need to apologise at all!
Reiki is a form of healing. It is very difficult to describe without sounding like you are bonkers but basically it is a channelling the universal healing energy (which is pure and unlimited) and flushing through the horse's/human's energy field with it. That clears out any blockages and then allows the body to heal itself. (sorry to all fellow Reiki people who use a different explanation but it's the one that most people seem to understand!)
Works on similar ideas to acupuncture and reflexology etc but there is no manipulation and in my case no touch. The energy field of a living creature/plant sits a few inches off the body so that is where I work because I can feel it better. When I send it distant then it is like sending it via radio waves.
It's one of those things which doesn't make much normal logical sense (unless you go in to very complex physics explanations!) but when you use it it works! You can get very subtle or very strong reactions and from experience you can't deny the results. There are no nasty side effects (apart from a slight stiffness/detox for the day after if you are unlucky) and the least it has ever done is make people/animals feel better/relaxed.
When I do a treatment I read the feeling of the energy. Sometimes it is sticky and takes ages to get moving, other times it clears quickly, sometimes I feel heat, other times it's tingly etc etc. From experience and intuition I then learn what that means in that case. Arthritis feels different to muscle stiffness which feels different to strains and sprains or organ misfunction. Sometimes I get it wrong or over interpret it but that's where this thread is helping!
The animal communication is another aspect altogether and one that more people are sceptical of! I get a huge range of information from images to feelings to emotions to words. It's more difficult to get right in lots of ways as the information is the interpretation of the person/animal that you are treating and may not be what the owner sees/believes or the person wants to acknowledge. It's also subject to my interpretation and therefore my beliefs/feelings. I try not to let it affect the info I receive but I am human! :)
Does that explain it enough? Feel free to ask more questions!

Very good explanation, Fanshawe!!! :)
Works on similar ideas to acupuncture and reflexology etc but there is no manipulation and in my case no touch. The energy field of a living creature/plant sits a few inches off the body so that is where I work because I can feel it better. When I send it distant then it is like sending it via radio waves.
Same here, very well explained!!! You are good!
Do you do deep-psychological healings yet? As in talking the client through working on old traumas, past lives etc?
When I do a treatment I read the feeling of the energy. Sometimes it is sticky and takes ages to get moving, other times it clears quickly, sometimes I feel heat, other times it's tingly etc etc. From experience and intuition I then learn what that means in that case. Arthritis feels different to muscle stiffness which feels different to strains and sprains or organ misfunction. Sometimes I get it wrong or over interpret it but that's where this thread is helping!
This is great. Can I ask who your (spiritual) helpers are, if you have any? It is okay to PM me with this info if you like, cos it would probably be too much for some people! :)

Very well explained! How do you protect yourself from outside energies when you work on this? I had a nasty learning experience and now make sure that no one except me and the animal I work on can get access and this makes it easier to interpret. Although in my case my helpers do the interpretation so what I get is always correct. Yeah confusing I know! :D
Does that explain it enough? Feel free to ask more questions!
Like I have said before, I am impressed with your work! Keep it up!

Hi, just seen this thread wonder if you could help urgently. I'd love you to do my horses, but my wonderful dog, Finn is seriously ill and next vet appointment is on Monday morning, when I think he will have to be PTS. Could you possibly do something to help him be comfortable ? We are in Shepshed.
Don't worry if you can't, but I would like to help him just now, he's been such a wonderful kind companion..my boy.
Not been able to post about this for a few days, but would publicly like to thank Fanshawe for her help. Finn died peacefully, his head in my hands later that night. He was ready, knew how much I loved him, as I knew how much he loved me. He passed gently away, saving me from having him PTS -my worst fear, and I feel as though he is still very much with me,a dog with a heart like his is still wrapped in mine.
Thank you Fanshawe.

If you're too busy don't worry I understand.
Let me know if you need better pictures, do the pics need to be recent? This pic was last summer.

Yeh it was gr8 as long as you didnt mind a laugh especially at yourself. You had to sit on a chair with your arms behind and reel your horse in on a piece of pole, killing on your shoulders! Was good laugh mind and all for fund raising for childrens football teams.
Tomorrow night is good for me tho. Sounds like you had a good time at the races as well.

Tango was fairly straight with it tonight- think he knows me now!
He was abused to a certain extent. The woman who had the drink problem would take it out on him when she was angry and drunk- I won't tell you what happened as he doesn't want that (not because of you but because of how he feels about it, plus he doesn't want to upset you). There was a man about too. I think the woman had a fairly miserable life. (Obviously this is my interpretation of what I picked up. Please don't take it as gospel as I might be wrong!)
He knows that you wouldn't hurt him which is why he trusts you. He also understands about the open spaces- he thought that was the case and will be extra careful in the future and not worry so much when you start to worry about it. He also seemed to be a real tryer- willing to do anything you asked.

Just a bit of an update for Fanshawe. I dont know if you can remember doing treatment on Kallum.... you do so many. Just wanted to let you know all is still going well. I haven't had 1 single buck out of him since that first day (over a week). He has been marching out of the yard proud as punch. We have even been cantering out and he usually has at least one decent buck just to express his annoyance at having to move faster than snails pace.
Feel like we have strengthened our bond and our working more as a team now.. Thanks :)

Hello everyone!
I just found your forum while browsing inernet for infos on reiki&laminitis. So, Fanshawe, could I please please join in into that reiki group sessions?
My mare Dasha (9.5 half years old, 1/2 arab - 1/2 haflinger-lipizzaner mix, pregnant) has chronic laminitis. She is probably insulin resistant and has a little under-working thyroid. I think she had constant low-grade laminitis for the most of her life (I bought her 1.5 year ago). Despite my efforts she is very sensitive and the slightest mistake on my part sends her in another more pronounced phase of laminitis.
Fanshawne, I would appreciate very, very much if you could please do some healing on her. One more thing, is reiki compatible with homeopathy? I don't use any homeopath remedies on her yet, but I will probably try homeopathy in near future.
Dasha is located in Slovenia (Middle Europe), near the capital Ljubljana. here are some of her photos: http://mateja-c.moj-album.com/album/7635300/.
How can I pay for the healing? Can I put money on your bank account (I don't have paypal and can't pay directly through internet), or, another option would be through post, I think.
Best regards,
Mateja

Fanshawe and Roka, I have had 3 reiki treatments so far and am planning to have another couple then do my attunement (?). Trouble is, I have felt really grotty after each one (and ended up passing kidney stones after the last one!). Is this normal? I am a bit put off by it and am wary of trying it on my horses although thats why I started it all in the first place.
Have you seen the thread posted by kizza07 about the auras. It is incredible and she hit the nail on the head totally about my boy.

THANK YOU!! I still have a fair few to go, but cant get into it! I need to read again, i think im losing it!

No worries. If you are struggling to get in to it then the best thing to do is take a break for a while. You need to rest, drink plenty of water and if you like doing them then a meditation or two should reset you! Take care and say no or next week if you need to :)

I know you are very, very busy but I would love to know a bit about the background and current happiness of my mare Charlie, my gelding Ben and would be very grateful for a better understanding of my yorkie Daizee! (I guess there is no point in you connecting with my foals Dylan and Rosie, much as I would love to get inside their wee heads, but they are only 9mths old and I also really don't want to be very greedy on your time.....so maybe another time for them!!)
I will try and attach pics if I can!! The yard is quiet from 7pm onwards til last check about 9pm ish.

Many, many thanks. If you have no time left at mo then no probs we can wait.....
Of course I will! Will be at the weekend- probably Saturday night at about 8pm? Will let you know how I get on :)

Lol no problem. I'm actually finding it very useful as it's not only giving me lots of practice but the feedback is helping me learn what the information I receive is about and to trust it! It's also giving me the push I need to get going professionally so that I get some paid work now too! :D
Will be at the weekend probably- need to get home to check my list and how many I have already. Will let you know as soon as I can.

Can you do one for my boy?
I dont really understand what reiki is still, but i would love you to have a go.
He lives in Leeton NSW Australia. His name is Kenny.
He is going to the vets tomorrow at 2pm (in our time) to have stitches removed from his eye, to see if his deep corneal ulcer means that his eye is being removed or not. We've been giving him eye medication 3 times daily in between the stitches and now is crunch time. He either keeps it or loses it...
I might post a pic later if i have time...
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!
You are doing alot to help others and their horses, alot more than i was doing!

Hi Kizza. Would be lovely to try with your boy. Will be some point next week- prob Tuesday night here -not sure what time that is there and will let you know what I find. What you are doing is also wonderful, it gives people an insight and gets them thinking which is great. You will soon find that you pick up more and/or are drawn to healing too. Just keep practising!

I've been reading all the posts with interest, I've not looked at the therapies section before. I would be really grateful if you possible tell me anything about my mare. She is Rosie, almost 14 years old, I'm having a few problems with her http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r51/alpinelottie/Image004-1.jpgwhen riding alone - shes very spooky, very anxious and worried and I dont know why? I am getting desperate now, so anything you can tell me ? I hope you have time. Thanks

I'm sure Tuesday will be fine, but could you let me know what time? I am actually in London that night, is that OK? I will make sure I have some quiet time wherever I am. Rosie is usually brought in around 6pm onwards so I think to say after 7pm would be fine for her. I look forawrd to it...

Will prob be about 8pm if that's ok. You don't need to be with her and if you are busy then don't worry as long as she is settled and not being ridden.

Hi Fanshawe, I wonder if you'd mind working your wonders on my lovely gelding Gil.
He came over from Ireland 2.5 years ago, supposedly as a 5 year old but turned out to be a very young 3 year old.
He was very laid back for the first seven months and then took off in an arena in blind terror. I was flung off at high speed twice, in fact the previous week he'd spooked at a corner and got my RI off. All the usual things were checked before this happened; his teeth, back, newly fitted saddle etc.
Following these two incidents, I had to have him sympathetically rebacked as he wouldn't let anyone get on his back and was fearful of everything. I think he must have had a bad start to his young life.
Anyway, if you've time, I'd love to know what has happened to him, if he has any problems and if he's happy now. He does appear to be very contented.
If you click on the thumbnail, the picture does appear larger. I'm not actually riding him in this particular photo.
Many thanks in advance.

Your Feedback Anne - and hate to ask but i need some help.
Drummer may be grumpy but he is sorry for being so miserable. Is he miserable because of pain still???? What I felt was in the mid neck and anothe bit between the shoulder blades. Nothing came up in the back but that doesn't mean there isn't just that I didn't sense it! Anne...winter just gone Drums bolted totally out of character. The hospital diagnosed 2 possible things for pain - the bursa in the back or the vertebrates mid neck and he has a swollen shoulder for the last 4 months. Vets and osteo lady suspected something like kissing spine/vertebrates of the neck - i on the other hand - TILL YOUR READING - thought it was the bursa, or i would have acted sooner re getting Drums back to hospital - i suppose i believed and wanted to believe it was the less serious condition. he will be brought back into work starting at the weekend and i hope be back to hospital in a few weeks - i shaking - you hit the nail on the head with no info
I had an image of him charging around the field! - he got a grazing muzzle on now :-( and also Eli is new and likes to try and play with drums Have you also been giving him lots of toys? ? er he loves his snack ball he gets every night, he becomes a ragging bull when you give it to him warning off over horses and he is frantic for it when he sees itHe enjoys being with you and loves you very much. he has just been handed over to my daughter to do some lighter work and no jumping at present - this must confuse him why as i was always his rider/mum and he used to be the one going off in the lorry not Eliott? Do you also keep your tack very clean?? no, but he has been wearing a muzzle for 2 weeks and i clean it every night and douse it with vasaline to try and prevent any sores and he has it back on with new vasaline each morning before turnout so he can have more freedom
Elliot is a very contented soul and is happy and likes his new home and human! He is a very capable and intelligent horse and didn't appear to have anything physical wrong with him. I really wouldn't worry about whether you are good enough for him. He is perfectly happy with life and is not bothered at all by your leg- in fact he is so unfussed with it he was suprised I mentioned it! Just enjoy a very lovely horse and he will be perfectly happy! Thank you
Hope it is of help and any feedback much appreciated :)
Anne this is your feedback in bold....spot on...........but maybe not good news for Drums. Can you let him know what is going on and that we are going to have to bring him back into work/jumping to inflict pain (we will make this last as short a time as possible) and get him back into hospital and he will be picked up to come home again after, can you explain anything to him all that i have highlighted in bold - can you also apologise for his muzzle, its not a long term thing - intermittent, and i hope he knows i have not deserted him to my daughter, who loves him very much, just she is very light and was hoping that she would not inflict him any pain riding wise in preference to me and he would enjoy doing a bit with her as opposed to be a hooligan around the show jumps with me, but i have had to butt out a bit to allow daughter to bond and get to know him, and she does love him too :-)
sorry :-( but thank you

Ive been reading this thread with interest, I know you are very busy but is there any chance you would be able to do my boy?
