Anyone have any experience of these?

My new boy has sheared heels, his left fore is causing the biggest issue, he's not horrific on it, and will happily hoon around in the arena, but he'souchy on gravel and when stood on concrete, he'll stick it out in front and rest toe first.

He's also come in sore from the field when I turned him out for a couple of hours, and literally planted refused to go out the next day because it involved crossing some gravel.

He's not in work and he's currently in 24/7 in a barn (approx 12' x 30'), half deep litter (not ideal I know) and half concrete.

I thought the hoofeeze boots might be ideal to put on him and could stay on for a reasonable period at a time if they're breathable. Also, that he can possibly go out in them?

Two questions - do you think these sound like a good idea for him, and should I use pads?

Do I need 2 (one for each front hoof), or can I just use one on the foot that really needs it? How thick are the soles - will one put him off balance?

Hi Catherine,

I sell these. Give me a ring or drop a line if you want a chat! We've used them for years.
