Yes, there is a Witherspoon's in Chester, my old manager works there :o tis lovely though.

oh yes that be good! me and a friend of mine from british horses we talking about doing a weekend! 48 miles hack! 3 nights at a B&B and able to park your horse too! can hire a horse as well. maybe one of them some day!

its probably best if everyone makes their own way to the pub for the first meeting, and arranges their own means of getting home again afterwards. That way, everyone stays safe, and no-one is dependent on anyone else (or anyone else's mum :rolleyes:) for their journey home.

Geek meets are brilliant fun, I've been on several, but you do need to take a few basic safety precautions, the most important of which is knowing how you're getting home again !

Meet ups are great fun but I agree it's sensible to be sure of your transport there and back and obvioulsy to let people know what you are doing and where you are going. :)

It is not 48 hours! It is 48 miles that is split up into 3 days, staying at b&b's along the way with the horses, normal day is a relaxing 6 hourish ride, with a hour or so off in the middle. :)

mm Well with the British horses group! we met up during the day and have something to eat and drink! tho we all travel to Newcastle so we went back to B&B and got ready for the drinks again then went to the clubs!

I may have a friend coming from Bangor so she may stay over not sure but PM me anyhow! if you need a stop in!

I be planning on getting up there and have lunch and chat who ever there and drink too.

I spoken to mum and well she can give another 3 people a lift from Wrexham area! to Chester and if anyone travelled far from home We have 2 couches and 2 fold up camp beds! So she happy with that to have visitors! oh and a kettle for the next day for a cupa tea :)

Perhaps just a good place to remind you all that you should only ever meetup in public places. NR is an open board so you never know who is looking in.

Just general internet safety, even although you 'know' people on a board meet them only in public places and preferably not on your own. make sure friends know where you are at all times and have a plan for them to contact you to check you are happy, my horse is ill can be a good get out if you feel uncomfortable.
