Jumping help

I know nothing about jumping and currently cant get any lessons, but would like to make a start. Hippo jumps what you point her at and is jumping 3'6" on the lunge at the moment. She isnt the most agile with her turning so although getting over jumps is no problem, navigating an entire course with me in tow to hinder her is a bit much I would think!:rolleyes:

Any tips or hints? We have a 20 x 40 arena and some poles and wings. She is 15.1 with stubby cob legs. What do we put up and how far apart please? All help gratefully received!:D
