I have used cortaflex for years on my boy and it works a treat. However due to cost l am switching to Equiflex as this is supposed to be just as good and much cheaper. Contact number 08081004080 and quote eqx-es (from a leaflet) for a discount.
Good luck

Would you consider asking your vet for an opinion on your horse? The reason I say this is because my horse showed this sort of issue last summer and it turned out he has arthritis in his hocks. His hocks were injected with steroid(?) which made a bit of a difference and then a while later he had Tildren which, after a period, made a huge difference. Sadly, though, that has only really lasted for a few months and now we're going back to see the vet again. Tildren is expensive and I don't know how many times treatments can be repeated without the effects wearing off (you know what I mean, the first one makes a great difference, the next a bit less of a difference etc) but it certainly cheered me up at the time.

Also, my farrier swears by Cortaflex liquid - I haven't tried it myself, so I don't know, but he's the sort of person who really has to see results before he'd recommend something to you. Again, it's expensive, but if it works, then that's fine! He said to me that you can see a difference in just a few days with the liquid ... but, as I say, I haven't used this myself.

Good luck and I hope your horse's hocks are feeling better soon. :)

A cheaper option than the vet may be getting a massage therapist or equivalent out. I'm not saying they replace the vet, but if it's stiffness due to a muscle problem/stabling/age, then they may be able to help, and for less money than the vet would cost.
