Hiya,

I have a 17 1/2 inch black wintec (500) with cair, immaculate condition, about 3 years old and I'm just about to put it on ebay. I am looking for about £120 as a "buy it now".

Hope that helps you price yours (or come and buy mine ha ha:D).

Incidentally, I loved this saddle but my little cob is now in the wintec wide at the widest purple gullet:) and I'm hankering for a freeform treeless so am clearing out the tack room to raise funds:D

You can get a lot more for it than that so don't be in a rush to list it as a buy it now for that price ;)

Look here (http://search-completed.ebay.co.uk/wintec-cair_W0QQ_trksidZm37QQcatrefZC5QQfbdZ1QQfclZ3QQfisZ2QQflocZ1QQfposZPO12Q204JUQQfromZR14QQfrppZ200QQf sooZ2QQfsopZ32QQfssZ0QQftrtZ1QQftrvZ1QQga10244Z10425QQlredZwintecQ20cairQQnojsprZyQQpfidZ0QQsaaffZaf defaultQQsabfmtsZ0QQsacatZQ2d1QQsacqyopZgeQQsacurZ0QQsadisZ200QQsaobfmtsZexsifQQsargnZQ2d1QQsaslcZ0Q QsaslopZ1QQsasltZ2QQsofocusZbsQQsorefinesearchZ1?GetResult&_trksid=m37&catref=C5&fbd=1&fcl=3&fis=2&floc=1&fpos=PO12+4JU&from=R14&frpp=200&fsoo=2&fsop=32&fss=0&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&ga10244=10425&lred=wintec+cair&nojspr=y&pfid=0&saaff=afdefault&sabfmts=0&sacat=-1&sacqyop=ge&sacur=0&sadis=200&saobfmts=exsif&sargn=-1&saslc=0&saslop=1&saslt=2&sofocus=bs&sorefinesearch=1&guest=1) for what they have been selling for in the past 30 days.

I would suggest listing at a time when it will finish when more people are likely to be logged on and make sure you have all the keywords in your title.

I also list everything at 99p to build up interest. I had 56 watchers on my saddle doing that and made an excellent price :D

I only paid £238 brand new and sold it recently for £190 (only six months old)

I wouldn't be keen on a second hand one that old to be honest

i've had to drop the price of my 18 month old, used 3 times wintec to below £200 and it's still not sold despite coming with 3 gullets and leathers. For a 4 year old one i'd be looking at less than £100 i'm afraid.

I agree - I bought mine second hand in 2005 from my horse's previous owner for £160. I sold it on a year later and was told by the saddlery that I could part exchange it for £75 or that for private sale, I could probably get around £100 for it.

I love the wintecs, now on my third! I sold my third one (still got two) 18months ago without cair for £100, it was 3 years old then and I'd had the girth straps changed for leather ones as one was splitting but it had been well looked after, personally if Its been well looked after i'd pay 150 ish as its still cheaper than the 280 I paid for my current one that is 17.5" with cair.

Personally I wouldn't buy one;)

But I've just sold mine on ebay for £150. It was in excellent condition and, more importantly, 17.5" black with Cair. The size makes a big difference (no-one wants a 17" saddle) and the colour (black better than brown) and the Cair is always popular (flocked saddles often don't sell). If you are very lucky and put it up when there isn't others going at the same time you might get £170 or so for it.

Like Joscarer said, advertise it well, at a sensible time and you'll get loads of interest. You'll get no interest at all if you're not willing to post it.

You could try selling it thorugh something like Ad trader as well, but less likely to get a buyer.
