Improving? let's see your pics

I have just started jumping again for the first time in 10 years, I'm still not doing much but I'm thrilled that when I went to my first competition I was terrified to do the 1'6" class whereas this week I managed to enjoy the 2'3" class and even win it.

Please tell me about your jumping improvements, I know that a lot of people here have started really nervously at 1'6" and are now BSJAing- I'd love to hear you stories and see your pics so please post.

I had a horrible jumping accident a few years back, where I was out hunting, my mount bolted and jumped a massive gate on which I fell onto. I hadn't jumped until I met Gem in August 07.

More how much louie has improved, but think i've improved as well, as when i started teaching him i was rubbish at jumping, and am a lot better now. Thank god!

Ace jumping 3 ft - though he's such a hefty lump of horse it looks smaller!

When I got him he rushed and ploughed through jumps or was too terrified to go near them - unless rustics!

Okay he knocked the pole but it was his first attempt in lesson and he took it at a good speed. Day after this I competed him in a 1.10m class and we came 2nd! I was SO proud of him :D

okies. got no pics of me jumping from where i started, but after i fell off a welshie i was jumping (probably like 1ft, if that!!) and did my wrist, i didnt jump for a long long time.

started at new RS, and was crying about walking over trot poles, thats how terrified i was of jumping. :rolleyes:

we did a lot of work (and persuasion!), and got to this in sep 06 (absolutely cr@ping myself!):

had confidence through the roof on a friends horse in july 07 (please ignore leg position, he just about ran me in to the jump wing! - and my stirrups were too long, and i hadnt ridden in an english saddle in yonks! my confidence was up so much i jumped some TINY xc jumps!! :D) was VERY annoyed, had an AWESOME pic of me actually going over the jump, and it got deleted :mad: was not happy at all!!:

I need to use my camera more, too. Typical, this weekend i'm hopefully jumping again for the first time in yonks (i'm talking years and i'm so excited!) and my sister is in France and can't get pics and vids :rolleyes:! Oh no i'm gonna have to ask my RI to do it; i can't imagine he's much good with technology so if i post a whole heap of bay blurs and fuzzy blobs on monday you'll know why :D!
