I've always wanted to try out SJ, done jumps at home etc watched it on tv but never really thought i would be given the opportunity to ever compete.

BUT

my BF seems sure that i would be able to do a show. he often competes in BSJA, and at the centre where he competes they do unaffiliated and he's determined to gte me competing.
don't get me wrong i would love to, but tbh i feel like I'd crash and burn (and i would most definately forget my course:p)
i would ride one of his BSJA ponies. I've jumped a course of about 7 that went up to 3ft7 ish, and he thinks i should come with him in a few weeks and do a 2ft6 course. he seems absolutely sure that i would do well

i want to but tbh i'm really doubting myself :o:(

i've been riding 3 years now and tbh i thought it would be many years before i would ever have the opportunity to compete!

should i try it out? or should i just leave it for another few months or so?

thanks

SLx

ps i would probabaly be wearing his old jacket, so if i do, i will try and get some pics for comic value ;):p

Of course you should try it out!!!

Things might not always go as you expect the first time, but if you start now you'll be a seasoned show jumper by this time next year!
