could someone please tell me how much the BHS stage one costs to do both riding and horse care
it says £140 on the site, plus £40 membership
but the rs nearby is advertising a 10week course for £10 a week
how much did you pay and what revision or learning method did you use?
Thanks

The exam will be £140, and you need to be a member to take the exam. The RS will be offering a training course for £10 a week for 10 weeks, without paying for the exam.

Echo lj81 the exam will cost you £140 plus membership (cost depends on your age). You will also need some smart riding wear (beige breeches/long boots or leather gaiters and short boots) if you don't already have them although for Stage 1 you can get by without a jacket , wear a smart plain sweatshirt instead
£10 a week is very cheap , normal preparation course is two hours a week at least, one riding , one care, how long it takes depends where you are starting:D.
Ideally do the course at a training centre or exam centre so you are riding exam type horses or at least ask about what level they accept on the course and what the pass rate is. It is an expensive exam not to pass
