help with rug size

i have seen a mesh cooler that i want to use for travelling but it only comes in 5' and 5'6 and my horse is a 5'3 so do i go smaller or larger? the rug doesn't have ant surcingles or fillet string so would it be ok to go smaller or would it be safe to go larger? (don't want the larger one to get caught)

Perhaps see if you can get the actual rug measurements. I know from experience that different makes come up to slightly different measurements! Then compare the measurements against a rug you already have and decide from there.

I went for the bigger size (as its a cooler not an outdor rug) measured it on my horse and then just turned the neck over myself to make it fit properly:)
