Hi, I have been to a few demos of Mary Wanless. Someone I know had a trial of lessons, but she felt it moved too slowly for her. I think they spent quite a few lessons in walk. Do you mind if I ask which instructor you are using, the only person I was aware of in this area was Becky Chapman.

many lessons are spent in walk, if you cant get something right in walk why move up a gear??
mw is very informative and will explaine effects for both horse and rider, but it can seem like slow motion and a lot to take in.

Yes i have had ride with your mind lessons they are great!
Gives you a whole new thinking about horses and a way to build a much more understanding bond with your horse.
yes you do spend many lessons in walk mostly with no reins. but like it was said above if you cant do something in walk why move up a gear??!

Is it straightforward to pick up. When I went to a demo, they kept talkling about a toolbox, but didn't go into detail, it sounded fairly complicated. I would be interested in having this type of lesson, but not sure I would understand all the jargon and biomechanics.

I used to be one of her approved Instructors and can recommend the method to teach you more about how to use your body while on horseback. It increases you awareness of how you use your body and what effect it has on the horse. It makes your position more stable and effective and thus makes you feel safer and more in control.
