you lean forward when your goint to the jump
it will throw the horse off a little
just straighten up a little
if he/she refuses your going to end up on the floor

My instructor had me 2-point/forward seat across the pole/to the jump. Thanks though.

The good: your lower leg is nice and still, your hands are soft and you look like a kind, sympathetic rider. I like that you allow the horse over the jump with your hands and you ride "light."
What could be improved:
You could carry your hands more - they look a little stuck out in front of you (stiff arms, little bend in your elbow) and they're practically resting on the horse's withers which will be blocking his/her shoulders. I really struggle with where to put my hands and my new instructor helped me this past week by saying "feel the heaviness in your elbows." Don't know if that helps you, but it did me . . .
Your lower leg, while still, looks a little forward and I'd like to see it come back and underneath you more - that would help you bring your hips through more and sit deeper.
You look slightly stiff and perched to me . . . don't know if that's an optical illusion b/c you're so wonderfully slim and tall, but that's one of the impressions I got. You also look slightly hollow through your lower back which will add to the perched look.
In two point, you could push your hips further back . . . from this video it looks like you're pushing your behind back but hollowing . . . more bend in the knee and keeping your hips over your heels (by also having your lower leg more underneath you) would give you a more secure position over the poles.
Very jealous that you get to ride 3-5 times per week! I'm lucky if I manage to ride twice a week . . .
Lovely thoroughbred . . . could have gone more forward for you though.

Thank you! This was really helpful. I used to "hunch" my shoulders and roach my back, so it appears that I've overcompensated by doing the opposite and becoming "hollow." I think that might contribute to the "perch" or posed look. I also ride very "light." My trainer tells me to be "heavier" often.
I'm definitely not-quite-sure how to carry my arms - I will have to try the "heavy elbows" analogy you suggested. Would bringing my elbows back, with more bend, also help?
I'm conflicted about the placement of my lower leg... I used to carry my leg back more, but my trainer has made me move it forward. She said I had a "dressage leg." But I agree, at some points it might give me a firmer base if I could shift back over it more.
Thanks again for your insight!

everything that nimbus65 said i agree with. but over all the horse is doing the absolute minium it can. and look as though you have been placed on it but are not really riding it at all.
your leg position is good but you dont use them! the horse is barely totting all the time.
your hands are carried a little too far infront of you and your arms are too stiff. really you look like you need to relax a little and take charge a bit more rather than the horse just mooching around. i think most horses would have stopped at the jumps, so the horse is being very good.
jumping postion over small jumps like this is difficult as the horse doesnt really jump much so you cant do a full on jumping position. i thought your was ok but that you tipped forward a little to early, and the fact that you tip[ped rather than moving your bum back. no big thing over small jumps though.
