Hi all,

My stables has abig competition on this Sunday, I have been volunteered to do the senior equitation class (there was nobody else) and I am scared to death :(

I have never done one before, and only done one dressage test. Can anybody give me some tips, I know I'm supposed to do a mini show but HELP!!!!!

Any tips would be great, I know I'm not going to win but I dont want to get laughed out of the ring!!!!

Keep it simple and fairly short. Walk out, halt and salute the judge. Walk on show some walk then trot and canter - 20 metre circles are useful. Change the rein through trot or walk, if you can do a decent transition show walk to canter, trot. Halt in front of the judge, if you can do it show a few steps of rein back. Walk forward, halt and salute. Doing more than that will a) bore the judge who may have another 20 competitors to look at and b) gives you time to make more mistakes.
