at camp the jumps are wooden, but all i have here is PVC pipe for the jump poles. one little tap and they roll right off. every so often she just says "no im not going to work today, and rolls them off one by one" i have ONE wooden pole (actully its a stick where the branches were sanded off) but she jumps that one very nice all the time. but she knows the PVC rolls right off. its so annoying

Perhaps find some fallen down tree limbs break the branches off and take the bark off and use them..they're temporary but if your on a shoestring budget like me, they'll work :D!

I agree with Danae, try to find a broken off tree limb and sand it and remove the bark... serves the purpose! ;)

I have the same problem wtih Maverick which i find disheartening. that is becuase at the moment we have a pole balanced on top of road cones so it roles of very easily.

However when I go to show I get clear with the good poles which is great. Don't get too disheartened and get more trees

how do u get ** poles to balance on cones? i have traffic cones and also drain pipe but i can't get the pole to balance?!!! lol!!

its a bit of a silly question but i just wondered if there is a knack to it?

How about filling up the piping with sand or dirt and sealing up the ends and maybe painting them so your horse thinks they are different ones?
