My two are due for worming the end of this month and not sure what to use, they had equest last time so was going to use equest pramox but keep hearing bad things about equest and colic. Is there any other option? Other than panacur guard? Bit of a panic freak after rosie had a mild mild mild colic over a year ago :o

if your horse was okay with equest it should be fine with equest paramox

we use it on our yard and have never had a problem with it but our horses are on a program i suppose if you give it to a horse that he not been wormed in a while this might be when colic can occur

You will hear horror stories about all wormers.
If your horse tolerated Equest well then E Pramox should be OK
I assume you want to worm for tapeworm this time? Do you also need the redworm dose? Does your horse have redworm?
A worm count could tell you whether to just give Equitape for tapes or the full works if you need both. Save our wormers for when they are really needed.

I used equest last year without problem, then gave them Equest paramox and the filly had awful diahorrea for a few days after. I went to a different feed merchant, who said he thought the E paramox could have been a little harsh for her. She's never reacted to any other wormer so I'm not too keen on using it again. Could have been a coincidence sure, but I'd rather not risk it.

I am however, hesistant to use it again as it was my vet that told me that they saw alot colic on it howver, I believe it is a very effective wormer
