I am in constant thought of saddles for Nelson at the moment but his back is very short!! He will probably need a 16inch but where the bl**dy hell sells a wide saddle thats only 16inch long without it being a pony saddle to fit a horse!!

Am I making sense here because I am confusing myself :D I need a 16inch horse saddle, not a pony saddle  Do they exist?

yes, it's perfectly possible to get a proper saddle in that size. My wintec i'm selling is 16.5 inch and is a proper, adult saddle. i'm sure i've seen a few second hand jeffries in 16 inch too....

I say 16inch, could be smaller yet :p I just dont want to be shamed into buying a kiddy pony saddle for a 15.2+ horse and a 5ft8 rider :p

Its the pannels that need to be short, anything more than 16inch would be too long for my nelsy :o my big bum and long legs need the bigger seat

How much are the SC saddles roughly?? :p these seem like the best option for my special boy *cough* spoilt?? *cough cough* Naaah!!

Wow saddles can be altered to suit and can have shorter panels with a longer seat. Bit pricy though, new from £1500, although a saddler can alter a secondhand one for you.
