does anyone know where i can get a neckstrap on it's own(no martingale etc) to fit a 16.2hh cob? all saddleries i've been to either dont do them or only have tiny pony ones. my friend is learning to ride on a biggie and needs something to hold onto for that bit of extra security. i've been advised to use a stirrup leather but they're too wide really. it's very frustrating!!! surely something so simple shouldn't be so hard to get hold of?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Why not just get a strap to fix through the D rings of the saddle?

IMO they're easier to grab when you're feeling a bit insecure anyway :)

All the RS horses and ponies have neckstraps made from stirrup leathers I didn't know you could get them any other way?

Agree with the strap to fit on the D rings or, if you don't like that idea get a hunting breastplate & just don't use the martingale attachment. Both are better than a neck strap IMO because they are fixed to the saddle & so don't disappear halfway up the neck just when you want them most!

Hi!

I'll make you one if you tell me what width and length you would like! :)

Seriously, if you are interested, PM me and we can discuss!
