Probably cob, but I would measure to be on the safe side.

In a moment of madness I bought a Jeffries Competition Breastplate for Mrs P, it's one of those superduper eventing ones that's sort of half breastplate & half breast girth. It's absolutely lush! Unfortunately it isn't overly big despite being full size & doesn't fit her very well at all - she's 16.2 so no elephant. I've got a new saddle that is very forward cut and I've ordered an anatomical girth that sits further forward too, so it may fit better with that gear. Fingers crossed  But if you're tempted to get one of them (for £) I'd deffo go for a full size.

Here she is wearing it :):) Any excuse to post one of my fave pics ;)

Daffy has a full size Sabre breastplate, but he has a bigger front than a lot of horses I know ;)

my 15.2hh cob needs a full sized breastplate. He's big around the shoulders and the chest, but then i find the straps that attach to the D-rings are too short  but easy enough to punch a few holes in it. I've the barnsby FTS breastplate, the eventing model. Can't recomend it highly enough, but it's a hefty price tag. I won might for nowt coz i named the breastplate :D
