Requisite Synthetic GP Saddle (in the new Robinsons catalogue page 87).

What do you all think of this saddle? It's only £97!!:D

a friend of mine's partner wanted to buy her a saddle for christmas as a surprise. he bought a selection and a couple of us kept trying these saddles and sneaking about. one of them was the requisite one - IMO it was absolutely horrendous. Was basically plastic. the panels were lumpy and the whole thing was just, well, cheap i guess! :o

she ended up with a thorowgood. IMO it's worth spending a bit more and getting a better quality product - you might save initially with one of these but I really wouldn't put one near my horse. sorry!

Here's a piccie of her dressed up in her surprise Thorowgood!

I have to agree, it's worth paying a bit more when you're buying a saddle. It's one situation, IMO, that you definitely pay for what you're getting.

Lol, I saw it and thought it would be a bit dodgy as it's stupidly cheap but I don't know anyone who has one or used one so thought it would be interesting to see what other people think. I expect most people have the same opinion so I wonder how many of these saddles they actually sell?!

probably lots, unfortunately. because they're cheap, people will buy them:o same as the hi-lite 'self adjusting' ones... horrible things but cheap:o
