I want to bid on it but am not sure whether I'll be getting a mare or a gelding, I'm afraid if I forced a gelding to wear it I might end up with a hoofprint in my face lol! It comes in blue as well though..... ;)

Oh wow! But, if anyone dropped it in a bucket of muddy water - it would be me :o:D! I'm so clumsy i'm forced to buy tough-as-old-boots equipment! Hmmm . . . what DOES happen to suede when it gets wet :p?

oh god I'm so clumsy as well, the horse will probably have more grace than me! I'm always bumping into things, even doorframes etc lol! I can barely make it through an obstacle course/sitting room without bumping into at least something haha. The blue one is lovely as well! <3 http://cgi.ebay.ie/BLUE-Suede-English-Soft-Leather-Headcollar-Heritage-FS_W0QQitemZ140219078636QQihZ004QQcategoryZ109453QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I like it, and I'm not a fan of pink :D
If you got a gelding, he could join our "gender confused" club! Two years ago, I bought Sal a blue and silver rug from eBay a few years back, and when it arrived, it was red and pink. In all other regards, it was fine, so I decided to keep it.
Unfortunately, my gelding being a bit of a pretty-boy, lots of people assumed he was a mare and since the rug is still perfectly fine it won't be getting replaced any time soon!
Do they make one in a neutral colour, green or lilac or something that would do for a mare or a gelding?

And don't forget, Heritage bridlework is actually made abroad using English leather so you have foreign fittings and foreign workmanship!
The seller of this headcollar has not particularly good feedback either if you read it!
Oz :)

completely agree, try to buy leather work that says 'made in england' instead of 'english leather', o/t but its sad to see all the sadlers going out of business, but i know how expensive 'made in england' makes things:rolleyes:.
