when I came in from being out on the ponies I noticed lots of little bugs (like headlice) crawlng around on my t-shirt (which I've changed out of) wich probaly came from lying on merrylegs, so any ideas what they are, what should I do?

thanks,

Sounds like you got litte lousey friends.

You can use louse powder, or Switch, I found a really good poder, can't remember the name now, but it made the little devils leap off the horse.

Barricade is a wash you can get from the vets. It's very good. Skips was literally vrawling with them and it killed the lice and the eggs. You hav to treat them a couple of times though as sometimesif you miss some of the eggs they hatch and you need to treat them again. Got rid of them immediately though. Do remmber to treat your rugs and brushes ands tack etc. after you've treated her, else she'll get them again straight away! :)

Nit comb your hair too ;)

I use dermoline insecticidal shampoo, and have bought some coopers fly stuff to treat around his head, cause he just wont let me bath it and there's still the occasional one milling about round his forelock.

Good luck!

dad got some stuff: AGRO; stable louse powder

I'ts for use on bedding in stables (that will come in handy for ponies out 24/7) but he said the man in the store said 'when their dry you can put it on them.'

If you read the precautions:
Harmful if swallowed.
Avoid direct contact with the product by use of rubber gloves and a protective breathing mask.
wash hands and exposed skin before meals and after work.
remove and wash contamanated clothing.
keep out of reach of children.
Avoid release to the enviroment.
do not contaminate waterways or streams with chemical or used container.

I don't think I'll put it on the ponies

Any one else think I'm right about not putting that stuff on the ponies?
