I am now the very very proud mum of Rosie, a 15.3hh skewbald cob.
I didnt want to tell anyone , just in case something went wrong.
I arrived at her yard at 6.30 this morning, helped load her, well didnt need to help, she just strolled in.
Followed them back to her new yard, 1 mile from my house and they helped me settle her in.
Just popped home to collect some tools , oh yes and a child! then back down there.
Took a couple of pics but my camera had steamed up!
So have to take some more later.

I am still grinning, it has all happened so fast!
6 days ago I was let down by a dealer and now I am mum of rosie, a much loved horse that was sadly for sale due to her rider going to college.
But I am very very lucky, It must have been fate because I dont usually go on my pc in the afternoon on weekdays cos of work but on tuesday I did and FOUND HER!, her owners have been fantastic, and very very helpful, they even brought her down to help settle her in and check what her new home was like, and they was very happy with the MASSIVE stable she has and the yard she is on.
Just nipped back to have lunch and grab some tools to put dif bolts on stable door, OH YES and to show you pics.

LOL, she has 3 rugs but it really wasnt that cold today so turned her out for a couple of hrs without, and within a few hrs of drying off, the mud brushed off no problems.
Everything has just gone so well, I spent this afternoon putting chain over her door and kickbolt on bottom, had more lil bits to do but the drill died and the screws were too big!
Just got to try and split the stable now, cos its so so big, everyone else has built there own lockable tack room in theirs.

She is beautiful - the very best sort of cob. How old is she? And would it be too nosey to ask how much you paid for her?
Wishing you lots of happy times together.

UPDATE
I love her to bits!
BUT have had a small problem yesturday, tacked her up and just walked her round the yard, nothing much just 5 -10 mins so she knew whats what and where, she felt lovely, very bouncy walk.
took her back to her stable, she had her tea, the next thing Iknew she had ESCAPED! eeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk, she had somehow got under the chain accross the door.
PANIC
HELP
Caught up with her and realised I had no chance of stopping her.
She ran back down to the first paddock, stopped and stood outside chatting to the occupants and stuffing her face on the LUSH grass outside the fence.
Walked up put head collar on and we walked back to the stable, where I started to cry after 5 mins!
I think it was the shock of what 'could have been'
So theres the update!
My silly fault for thinking the chain would keep a strapping 15.3hh in her stable:rolleyes:

She is gorgeous! I love coloured horses and she looks such a sweetie.
Although from your escapade with her yesterday she obviously has a mischievous streak in her as well! It would have been a shock to anyone but as you said no harm was done and you've learned a valuable lesson with her. In a couple of months you'll be on here saying 'Do you remember when......?' and passing your lesson on to other owners. She was probably very curious about what was out there, and the lush grass was just too much temptation.
I hope she's settling in well and making friends.

Blimey, pretty lady. :)
They can be completely full of mischief can't they? They don't usually stray far from the security of the other horses though, they soon change their minds and come back. ;)

she is a stunner !!!!! and what a bargain. i am a big believer in things happen for a reason, and it did in your case.
the chain across the door must be a cob thing as i am always finding the cobs on our yard having a stroll around when they have escaped. :)

sounds like a typical cunning cobette stunt - my cob rosie would do that easily - no point in even trying it - she would just break it - we once had one of those silly canvas doorway thingies - lasted all of a day before it was found in pieces - ideal for scratching bum on.
best thing to keep a cob in is a mains power electric fence supercharged.
seriously, sorry you had a fright but these cobby girls are opportunistic little blighters so you have learnt lesson 1.
good luck with her, she is very like my Molly cob, but nothing like as vacant!

Oh she is lovely. I know she gave you a bit of a scare but thankfully all turned out well, however it does show she has a bit of 'character' about her.
Have fun with her and enjoy, she really does look lovely:D

Hehehe - Scully did the same when she broke the lead rope - straight back to the field with her mates in - no way I was going to catch up with her, let alone stop her!
YO was more worried than I was - she arrived panting with a scoop of pony nuts as I was putting Scully into the field!
