Thanks Wally, I never thought of that. I don't think she can drive. Maybe we'll learn sometime!

JenJane and Es - your NF ponies look lovely. I didn't realise that New Forests were so fine-boned. Are they all like that? I imagined all natives were hairy and chunky like Carrie!

jen and i are on the same yard, jane is off the forest, and she is quite petite as foresters go. petal in the flesh is actually built like a brick wall - she has a pretty head, which makes her look finer in pictures than she actually is. the pic of her was at a show, so she was all trimmed and tidy, but left to her own devices she is as hairy as they come! most foresters don't have a lot of feather, but they do grow beards and get very shaggy! petal happily carries the yard owner (12 -13 stone), so she isn't as delicate as she looks!
glad you like our girls! if you follow the links on my post, there are pics of a few of petal's brothers and sisters, there are some different types of forester in that lot.

i suppose Jane is kind of petite, although when shes got her belly on she looks chunkier - shes managed to stay quite slimline through late summer!
It is amazing though how different New Forest ponies can be!You'd never guess Petal and Jane were the same breed!!! (even when Petals hairy!)

another picture, this one is of my icelandic pony that i bought in march this year.

Not one of her best pictures as she was going through a funny stage with her colourings. But she has almost a supermodel figure compared to when i first got her with her big belly and fat all over

the white marks you can see were alot bigger and both big. One side has almost 100% disappeared.

i will post some more pictures nearer xmas because then she will have her cuddly winter fur :D

and this is sari, a little welsh b x something, who came to the yard when she was 4, having been over faced and started to bolt. she's the same age as me, this was when we were both 20, doing a x-c competition at the yard. this is a smaller jump, but some of them were over 3 foot. she's a cracking little pony, and i still love riding her. she's gotten a bit wheezy in her old age, so i don't jump her any more.

Hi this is Bailey (for those of you that havent seen him)he has turned 4 now and is even fatter!I will post new piccis when I get them back,Im going to take some tomorrow depending what state he is in as he is upto his eyeballs in mud!He is getting his winter coat and is all fluffy.Havent any of me on him yet as Im not riding due to baby being due cant wait to ride again!

We also have a mini shetland and have taken some lovely piccis of him all tacked up with my little girl on him...havent got them developed yet but this is the only other decent one ive got.Poor old sooty is here with my little girl Megan she is 1 1/2 and loves him to death he doesnt get a minutes peace from her and is the quietest shetland I know.

I nearly bought Charlie (the appolosa) - he is only three in this piccie but he is sooo laid back it is untrue! Sadly though he was sold to someone a way away. Bren was really depressed for a few weeks after he left but he has a new friend called Polo (a litle mini sheltand!) :D
