Hiya! I'm new here! So hello hello!
Basically I bought my boy Gizmo off of my riding school around 7 years ago, he was bought by them from a farmer who said he had come from Ireland orignally, the farmer was going to just leave Giz out at grass because he was completely unbroken etc. But the school just bought him and *sort of* trained him up, anyway after much hard work he's been a lovely lad to me for 7 years and a good ride but I never had any idea what breed he was. He's 18 now so he's gettin on a little and I thought someone here might be able to give some idea as to what he is! hehe. He's around 14.3 .. here's a piccy!
Not the best pics but i hope they'l do.

I'd say definitely appaloosa cross something! It's the something that is more difficult! I'd guess something native, maybe new forest or connemara. There's certainly spotted blood in there! He looks a real sweetie.

id have a guess at appalousa x welsh d (maybe a welsh d x?), i reckon somethign native type though.
i only say welsh d as i said above he is like a clone of my friends horse! but without the markings, and he is welsh x something.:)

I think he might be a bit heavy to be an Appy-Welsh D cross ... I could be wrong of course.
:-) He looks a darling!

I wouldnt say no to him being a welshy X, my horse is suspected welsh X and has a similar compact body. I would say Appy X cob or welsh D. There are so many variations of welsh D around from finer types to full on broad ones. Whatever he is.. Hes lovely!! :D

He looks quite cobby? Appy X Irish cob type perhaps if he came from Ireland?
I wouldnt have thought Section D.

Def appy X - he has the flesh marks and the small eye typical to the breed! (Awesome breed I have an appy stallion!) Maybe crossed with heavier Irish cob or draft if he originally came from Ireland??
