Well done. I am planning to do this at some point. I have had a few sessions with Fanshawe from here and she is amazing.

Congratulations, well done!! What you felt on the course sounds very good. Now you just need to practice, practice, practice!! And remember that not two healers work and feel things alike, so just relax and go with what you feel. Learning to trust your instincts and growing personally is the fun part, even if it is tough as some times! Welcome to the journey!!

Lemon, the healing I was taught and that I teach today - I am a Reiki Master - has roots in Reiki but I choose to call it Heart Healing or Intuitive Healing. I never use fixed hand positions but I tune in to the person or animal and put my hands where I feel guided to. Most times I don't even touch but work in the aura field about 10 cm from the body. I work a lot with angels and ascended Masters and do all my spiritual work intuitively. It is for me the only and true way but I know that all spiritual people work differently and you have to find the way that works for you.

As for how you have to practice to do strict Reiki on a horse I would not know - you have to ask your Master that question. I take it she taught you to heal on people since you ask about where to put your hands on the horse?? I would say to go with the feel when working on horses - tune in (close your eyes and get a feel of the horse without touching) and then put your hands where it just feels right to you. If you work from pure Universal love you cannot go wrong here.

be very, very careful treating horses, it's very different to humans ;) some can be incredibly sensitive and if you get warning signs (such as nipping, ears flat back etc.) then do not under any circumstances progress with the treatment.

yes, that's normal. not all horses like nor want a reiki therapist near them. A mare i used during my equine training was wary of me, but then relaxed into the treatment. She told me when she'd had enough and wouldn't let the other student on the course near her. An equine session should only be short, they don't need an hour+ session like a human may need. Also be very aware you should not be practising on other peoples horses unless you've explained to them it's for the purposes of training and learning and got their express permission. It's against the law. There are stricter laws govenrning alternative therapists treating animals than those laws about human alternative therapists

i would find someone willing to do a bit of equine training with you, who'll explain all this in more detail :)

Hi

Personally, I would suggest that for the first 21 days that you stick to treating yourself daily and then go on to treat others/animals etc after. I was taught that the 21 day cleanse was an important part of reiki and still to this day I self treat daily as well now as treating animals and humans with reiki.

Good luck and well done for taking the first step and inviting reiki to be a part of your life.
