Does anyone use it - can you tell me if you use matting underneath, and how you deal with it day to day?

Also - did it save money, are there any negatives etc?

Not thinking of changing beddind, just doing some project research!

I use Aquamax which is exactly the same thing. I use it on rubber mats and have found it economical financially and labourwise. I dont wet it to "activate" it first - i use the horses wee for that! remove droppings daily with shavings fork - very easy and you ONLY get the droppings and not bedding in the barrow! Mix the whole bed up giving a good fork through to mix the wet well in to activate the pellets. Once all the pellets are broken down, and the wet patches are heavy and wet, i remove the wet at this stage and add another bag. It doesnt look much when you first lay the bed this way, but the bed will thicken up LOADS!
