Hi,
I bought some leather riding boots last year second hand. Now the leather on one of them has started to split across to toe crease. Is there any point in getting this repaired?

that always happens to mine! just where your big toe joint is and where the sole meets the leather. also round the heel where it joins to the sole.
as you can probably tell i wear them till they are on their last legs and then some
no there isnt any point fixing them, i buy a good make of boots (toggi) and it always happens.
got some ariats this time and they seem better because they are suede. i have some leather ariats aswell that havent fallen to pieces (yet)
my wellies are in a similar state aswell and have had to resort to plastic bags inside them. (my third pair this winter!)
