Hi guys, would love to know how many of you ride bare back:confused:
My pony goes better without a saddle, the trouble is i feel safer riding with stirrups.
Have any of you used this from robinsons.

Any thought.

I understand that bareback causes more damage longer term, but if your horse goes better without a saddle it would show to me that his saddle is not fitting well. If you have a well-fitted saddle your horse should not be much different. :)

I think you have to be careful with items like the one you have linked to as it will put SO MUCH pressure in the small area it is weightbearing that it will cause problems long term. Have you tried a treeless saddle? These can give you a similar feel and distribute your weight more evenly. :)

i know we all have our opinions on here but mine is don't buy it.
i have a best friend bareback pad and yes i do ride bareback, but having a bony bum it is more comfortable for horse and rider.
if you feel safer with stirrups you could try quitting them with the saddle or go treeless as that is like riding bareback without the pressure points.
the item you are describing cannot be used to mount, a treeless saddle can, so from that it would put pressure on one area, and look closely how far forward your legs would be.
i sent mine straight back!!

The Solution Energist is the most close contact you will find - just like bareback, but with hi-tech support.
