Hi,
I am a member of the Over and District Riding Club, and was wondering if any of you are interested in having some 'fun' this summer?

Check out the website and have a look -->http://www.odrc.org.uk

There is a evening rally free to club members, but will charge non members but a great way to meet the club and see it is very friendly and fun club!

Also if you fancy to hack there, either by road, or through a safe back route, please leave me a message as I could accompany you. You can leave trailers\horseboxes at my yard. I will be hacking up there and watching as I cant take part unfortiantly at the moment!

This could be a fanstatic Cambs or surrounding areas meet up;)

If your stuck on transport I have a trailer ( but no car) for anyone who wants to use it!

The ODRC Committee will be holding an evening rally at the club field, in
Over, on Thursday 17th April 2008 from 6.00pm to 8.00pm (see website for
directions http://www.odrc.org.uk/).

These are going to be very informal and [hopefully] good fun. Club members
are invited to turn up and ride, cadge a ride, hold horses for people, put
jumps up for people, call dressage tests, and generally help out.

We will set up a dressage arena, and a show jumping course, to give you a
chance to practice your dressage tests (get someone to read for you, or
watch you ride and suggest ways to increase your scores) and have a go at
improving your jumping style over a full course of fences (most of us only
have one or two fences to practice over at home).

Bring your own dressage test and someone will read it for you; we'll set
out a jumping course and adjust heights to suit and someone will put up the
jumps for you if you knock them down, as long as you are willing to do the
same in return (bring a friend and take it in turns to hold each other
horses); you can also practice your gymkhana skills if you want to.

We are conscious of the time the sun sets this early in the year, so if you
are planning on hacking to the field, make sure you wear fluorescent
clothing and leave yourself plenty of time to get back home before it's
dark.

These rallies are free for club members (but we will charge non-members),
and providing that they are well attended, and popular, we are planning on
running more them on one weekday evening per month through spring and
summer.

So anyone interested in meeting me and Percy and then having some fun for a couple of hours?:D:D

I am taking my kids to the gymkhana at over in a couple of weeks time, we havn't been before so not quite sure of what to expect. I phoned the lady up on the schedule to ask about times etc, and she said that plenty of adults will be having a go at the games, I have been gutted ever since, as I would love to be back doin games again (relive my youth ) but unfortunately am far too big for our pony and havn't got one of my own ! We live in st.neots, so not too far to travel, just hope the weather is nice !
