I'm hoping someone can help.

I got a saddle fitter out called Hugh from Hillside Saddlery in December. Want to get him out again to check the fit of the saddle I bought (as horse has lost some weight) but the number I have for him is no good. Apparantly the saddlery has moved but his mobile number is still ok.

Problem is I don't have his mobile number.

Does anyone have his number or can you recommend another saddler in the area? I'm based in Durham.

Thanks!

Is she good? Just I've had a bad experience with a saddler before.

:eek: I would deffinately not reccomend Hugh!!!!

He said my ponys saddle didn't fit (we wernt having problems with it just wanted it routinely checked) He tried to sell us a 2nd hand saddle when we said we wanted a new one. Put this ancient saddle on him that was just a very old version of the one he has. He argued with me that it was a 16" not a 15" so I showed him the label on the buckle guard that proved in was a 15" The saddle he tried to sell us was buncing on punches back and Punch started to buck when my sister got on and didn't look comfy. Obviously we didn't buy the saddle or anything else of him.

I now use the saddle shops fitter (Andy Wheals) I think he is the only qualified one in the area he said punches saddle was a perfect fit (I think Heugh was trying to get a bargin by getting Punches saddle that was in perfect condition that looks new for a swap for an old tatty saddle that didn't fit him). We also bought Beaus new saddle (Black country) from the saddle shop and Andy fitted that and we have had no problems with that.

So I'd reccomend Andy Wheals:D

Andy is not the only qualified one in the area by any stretch!
If it is the same one the saddle shop were using before he isn't based here all the time - Mogadoga could tell you for sure either way as she works for them and I believe she uses him.

I use Paragon Equine solutions (Kristy is a partner in the business). Carolyn doesn't do a huge amount of fitting now and tends to only do the WOW saddles, Kristy does all types as well as the WOWs.
