God - that pony of mine is a STAR!!
We decided to longrein Logic on Tong Street today which is a busy high street, extemely heavy traffic, motor bikes, vans whizzing past, HGVs, a few sets of traffic lights.
The plan was to do about 200 meters but Logic being her usual placid self, took it completely in her stride so we carried on and went quite a but further than planned - she trotted most of the way through the traffic and I was very proud.
Took Logic back to the yard and decided to put her in the shafts for the second time ever. Again Miss Logica was a superstar. Stood politely whilst my able assistant Waggybee jumped up and down on the cart, flapped stuff around, fiddled with the traces. Logic was quite bored with it all! :p
She was so good that we decided to actually go somewhere......
I led Logic and Waggybee "drove" her (walking alongside). We went through the yard and decided to venture out.
Had a nice little walk and trot around the local housing estate before Waggybee hopped on. Again, no worries from Logic.
Heading back to the yard Waggybee jumped off to do downhill "if she's going to get worried it will be going downhill - she might not like the sensation of the cart pushing the breeching!" and right on queue Logic started to tense up. We just kept calm and walked steadily back to the yard and 2 minutes later she relaxed and started to enjoy herself again.
Once the road got a bit more level Waggybee hopped back on and then for the last couple of minutes before we got back to the yard I joined her in the exercise cart too! :D
Smiles all round and a nice juicy apple for my superstar Logic!! xxx
