Lice /Mites

Whats the different between them?

Ive checked my girls mane and tale and there is nothing to be seen, but right up the back of her legs there are these things that look like nits....are these more likely to be lice or mites?

Also is coopers fly spray the best thing to go for?

I bathed her last night with some anti lice shampoo (cant remember the name) but want to be super careful x

my two horses came bk from loan covered in lice,it was terriable.lice look like tiny whie eggs. iv never had a problem with mites so cant help u on that but maybe you can see the difference.

I think Claret may have picked up lice, any ideas on the best treatment, they were on his shoulder and back

From the reading up I did on mites, mites you can't see to the naked eye. Although there are about 8 different types of these and all do different things ie some burrow into the skin deep, whilst others surface burrow and some don't burrow at all and are on the outside of the skin.

Lice are black/brown and crawling.

Fleas jump and can also be seen.
