Hi all

Just wondering if anybodys horses on here had an allergy to wheat?

When we went to bhy Oskana the owners said that she has an allergy to wheat, but stupid me didn't really ask any questions !!!!!

I am very careful with what I feed her. She does get bedded on wheat straw and has eaten a mouthful and she was fine.

Any comments welcomed.

Hi
Mine is allergic to horse feed!
Not quite, he has an intollerance to oatfeed and any grain. Again I have to be careful about what he gets to eat - including horse treats. And keep him on shavings now. He was ok with wheat straw (difficult to get here) but oat/barley straw are no no's.
His intollerance signs are anything from being grumpy, not willing to work etc and having his tummy touched to full on anaphalactic shock.
He is allergic to alot of fly sprays/lotions and potions - comes out in itchy spots.
As long as he is only fed natural product (grass nuts/veg/fruit etc) and anything used on him is also natural then he is ok and happy.
