What Colour ????

I have a lovely appalossa QH x ID who is in foal to bazaars chief ( coloured )

Does anyone have any ideas what colour the foal may be ?????

50% chance of getting a coloured foal.

Dam is appy roan, I suppose you have 50% chance of getting appy colouring from her, but my gut feeling is you won't.

Foal could be anything from brown, to a mad wildly marked appiano and lots in between!! :D

If Bazaar's Chief has ever thrown a solid foal, you have 50% chance of tobiano.

If your mare has spots, you have 50% chance of spots too.

There are two genes at work in Appaloosa patterns; one is Lp (spots) and the other is PATN1, the expression of white. PATN1 is difficult to predict but you basically have a chance of a solid foal, a splodgy foal, a spotty foal, or an Appiano (spots and colour).
