HI everyone, just a thought.......I have emailed Rockboure with a question about hard hats. Could be on a course like this its obligatory. Not a problem for most of you as I know many of you do wear them, but Monique, Byron and a few others including myself don't. Will let you know the answer I get as it would be dissapointing for those to get get and find its necessary and don't have one!!

Marieb - I've already checked when I booked the course that its ok for riders that dont want to wear a hat. You will just have to sign a form to say it is your own responsibility.

Think there will be quite a few of us coming to this one, should be good!

marieb

Just spoken to the owner of Rockbourne, who has just spoken to Monique, that while they like riders to wear hard hats, they are not oblidged to. Everyone has to sign a disclaimer anyway, hat or not. They want everyone to come and enjoy their ride but "don't go running to him if you break your crown" Fair enough!

By the way, Marco Polo thinks he is in charge of every ride, he likes to be in front all the time and gets quite stroppy if anyone overtakes him! Should be interesting. I like to go about things in a more sedate way, so in this respect we differ, that is when he isn't exploring every drive way and track in the meantime. I knew there was a reason he was given that name. Looking forward to going and meeting you all.

Its a friend I don't see a lot of anyway cos of her work commitments. I am sorry to not be going but I will def be at the games though, Marco turns on a fullstop! I spect I will spend most of the time on the floor!

He will be coming with us. On a plane, not on our plane of course, they go freight, all done for you stable to stable so to speak! just got all the paperwork to sort, its quite difficult to get anything into the states without a palava. But he is quite a well travelled horse. Argentina, Italy, Holland, UK then USA.
We have a holiday resort in Missouri, with loads of land and barns, which we are converting to stables and will be inviting folks to bring their horses on holiday with them. (very popular over there) Then they, and I will get to ride in the Mark Twain National Forest in Missouri.
I intend to get a QH or Mustang to keep him company, (maybe several, horse rescue places over there have lots of rescued slaughter horses to home) My son gets very excited when I say this cos he thinks I am talking about a car!!

Kt and Fee, yep, its true.
without meaning to take the thread in a totally different direction at all...
The town is called Shell Knob (and out there this means hill, not............. a door handle) he he. But our place is about 5 miles out of the town, right in the country. Fee, yes NC is not that far away, a visit very possible!

Just to say I'm miffed I'm missing another Criollo Club ride.

My dog sitter is away this weekend plus it would be a 5 hour trip home so I'd have to leave too early on Sat to enjoy it properly as I'm off to Badders tomorrow for the show jumping to desperately early start to meet pals.

So I'm sitting here watching the horse trials on the TV and thinking of you guys having a fab time!
