If anyone at all could help I would be most gratefull my 2 yr old arab developed an obsesion with constantly itching after coming out in small dried puss lumps like fly bites, blood tests done shows allergic to all grass! i thought this was a load of rubbish as i had had him 18mths. But he is now with breeders for in hand showing and now has had an allergic reaction to grass as my previous tests; their vet says he didnt react to grass at my place because not as lush as breeders place which sort of makes sence and their vet said itching would have been from fly bites.any advise ideas wellcomed. hes coming home in a week so have already got fly rugs and mask etc would like to know of best fly spray on market. many thanks for reading.:)

Well, that is some bummer to have an herbivore allergic to grass!!! It's like having a cat that can only eat vegetables... totally not logic....
So, what do you feed him? Or is it just green grass he's allergic too?

:confused:It's more than a bummer I'm soooo fed up.Hes on barley, bailys prep and chaff but apparently its all to do with breathing in the pollen!! cant wait to get him back as I had'nt got this grass problem just the itching problem. I do think everything has got a bit ott with horse care and new products and sometimes think society has created these problems after all horses survived well enough in the wild before we came along. If anyone could suggest the best fly spray they've found that would be fab!!
