Jack,

Eclectic-Horseman (http://www.eclectic-horseman.com/content/view/125/99/) calendar shows that all the cowboys will be in Ohio this spring to help you break in that Wade saddle on cows:

Peter Campbell in Mansfield on June 27-30 Colt starting, Horsemanship 1, and Cow working.

Joe Wolter horsemanship and cow working in Athens on July 11-13. Another Joe Wolter clinic in Athens July 18-20.

Both of these fellows are world-class ranch ropers, so there may be an opportunity to train up on that post horn (not to mention learning to work cows from world-class experts).

Best regards,
Harry

Ahh, could my luck be changing. I don't subscribe to Eclectic Horseman but I did just receive a complimentary copy with some Martin Black dvd's that I purchased. ;) I really enjoyed the Tom Moates article on "Matter of Factness". One of my own beliefs is "Believe".

I have to be in Northern Ohio the last week end of July for my "father in laws burial at sea" (true story ) but I may be able to squeeze at least some of these events in.

I'm familiar with both Peter Cambell and Joe Wolter. Joe would be my first pick to see since he had such a connection with Bill Dorrance. I may only get to the Cambell event in June and the first Wolter meeting July 11-13 though. I'll just audit since my roping skills are non-existent.

Thanks for the "heads up" and I'll be shooting some ideas your way concerning Martin Black here in the near future as well. Shucks maybe I do still have enough time left to learn the "two rein".

Keep on, keepin on

Jack

I got two wade tree saddles but I sure wouldn't like to dally one of these Portuguese fighting bulls onto one of them!!
