What is the name of the class you'll be doing? Turnout-wise, very clean (especially the socks!), the rest depends on the class you're doing really!

if your doing part-bred m&m (cos shes welsh x) then she needs to be plaited up (i think)
washing up liquid is good (and cheap)to clean them with and gets the grease out of the coat if its ages since she was bathed

Groom lots leading up to the show, this will improve muscle tone, get rid of dead hairs and encourage healthy hair to grow. The day before the show give her a bath.....you can get all sorts of shampoo's like extra shine etc. Don't forget to give her tail a good washing and its usually a good idea to brush it though with some mane and tail conditioner.
Put a bit of chalk on her white socks, this will make them show up better. Before you enter the show ring put some hoof oil on, you can also put some show shine on the coat for some extra sparkle! If you need to plait up don't put any conditioner on the mane, otherwise it'll make it very difficult to plait!
You will prob have to go round all together and then do an individual show, but it depends what class you're entering.

Oh and prob no martingales and a snaffle bit would be best. Also a brown/black numnah would be best.:)

am not sure of the ridden class because it is only a yard show the sign up sheet was just "ridden showing" also because it is a yard show they try to cater for everyone so they have no tack rules (thank god :D) dont have a dark numnah so would white be ok?
is his bit not a snaffle? i thought it was but maybe not!
thanks for the advice keep it coming
OH, and i am sure joe would love to knowhe is now a girl!! well he is a wuss :) and has lots of sparkly flowery things!!:D

haha sorry, he does look manly....don't really know why I called him a she! lol. Yeah don't worry that is a snaffle, I just said it incase you were planning on riding him in something else. Yeah white should be fine, as long as it looks smart and is a neutral colour really. Good luck!

Washing up liquid is not good!!!
but you could use a cheap bubble bath, just check whats in it.
Make sure he is extremly clean, plaited, and in the correct tack.
Individual show- keep it simple. keep to a figure of 8 walk a circle change rein walk the other circle, trot a circle change reins trot the other circle, canter the circle change through trot and canter on the other rein the circle. back to walk nicely off the forehand, and salute your judge. ( if you need to gallop do it down a long side so you have control. DO NOT do it if you dont feel comfortable or not in control.
Transitions as well as paces are scrutinised.
I HATE THEM!
good luck :) hope this helps.

I second that but i say dont use anything but hippyhorse because it is the ONLY horse shampoo that is 100% non animal tested:)

seriously
we use washing up liquid all the time along with many other people on here, the bubble bath is more likely for them to have a alergic reaction, and wont get them clean.
so whats so bad (in your opinion) about washing up liquid?
and i thought advertising wasnt allowed...

im not advertising sweets:o i just have a passion.
washing up liquid and most regular shampoos contain anionic sufactants and laureth sulfates these are not only irritants but they are also HIGHLY tested on animals (shampoo tests on monkey's are horrific pregnant monkey's have their unborn baby injected with these ingriedents so when their babies are born manufactures of such ingriedents can see the potential damage to people!)
sorry i do not intend to offend i just love my horses and dogs as much as my kids and to think of any one harming them without knowing makes me sad:o

sure... and how much do you rip people off for your 'safe' product, and how did you test it- or did you let another company do that so you didnt have to see the monkeys
yes we all care about animals, but as you well know products go through rigorous testing before even getting to the animals, and it isnt very often that a reaction occurs after they have passed all the tests before.
of course it will happen and some will get through the net, just like the elephant man trials recently, but it doesnt happen alot.
from what i can see, you use alot of tea tree oil (infact in all of your products) which i for one am allergic to.
how can you prove it works, or did you try it on your horse first?

I wouldn't want to try a product on my animal that hadn't been tested on animals in controlled conditions.
A horse with your horse's colour will look fantastic for regular, vigorous grooming - it increases shine more than any shampoo can. The only things you really need to wash are the mane and tail, and obviously dirty bits.
