I have a 14hh skewbold mare quiet heavy cob
who has bad mud fever and mane is not prefect!
Should i keep her mane trimed and plate her mane up for shows and trim her feathers. like this pic last year

or try and grow her mane and keep the feathers and just go natural for showing

hey i think she looks more of a traditional horse, as in grow mane and feathers.
good solution for mud fever is benzyl benzoate, mix it up to about a pint with water and paint it on with a hoof oil brush, leave it on for 15-20mins then wash it off, i havent seen it since!!! wahoo!
and mine is traditional. lol my pony looks completely like 2 diff horses traditional and hogged. i will never go back though!

IMO, i prefer him hogged but maybe the traditional pic doesnt do him justice...
hes lovely but so much flashier hogged, theres loads of traditional coloureds around at the moment.
