Sorry, mods, wrong place! Need quick advice before going saddle swapping on Saturday: I need a very high withered model-the Wintec fits a treat. What is the model?!?! Got an alleged high withered thorowgood from ebay and it rubs on even a not very high withered! S's Wintec is fab on B but she's going back in a fortnight with all her tack, obviously.

Thanks, all and sorry it's in the wrong place-need hits quick!

Wintec 500 or 2000? with a narrow gullet?

Would prefer the changeable gullet system-he's currently a medium fit but may go back to narrow in winter. It needs to be hugely high withered to compensate for loss of muscle. Is one of those two specifically for high withered or both? Which is best?

Wintec don't do a high withered saddle as far as I'm aware

Yes they do! My mare has one but is going back so can no longer borrow as required!

Yep, wintecs very definintly don't do a high wither version - cob, yes, high wither, no. HOWEVER the 500 and the 2000 are a TB saddle anyways, so they have pretty good clearance for high withered horses (and hence are crap on flat wide cobs!!)

So it'll have been a simple wintec 500 (or a 2000 if it was suade - they're the same design, different covering) with whatever gullet you needed in it.

Does the cantle look square? Could be a close contact... great fit on my tb.. probs got a pic somewhere, hold on!

Not a brill pic, but this is the Wintec close contact forward cut for jumping. The 500 has a rounded cantle and the flaps don't come so far forward, then the 2000 which has suade on (as PL said).
Do you have a pic of the one you're using? Or if you can discribe it we might be able to guess which one it is. Do you know what gullet it has in it?
