Has anyone in the yorkshire area got a Twyford 'T'? My little mare is Twyford Toccata out of Twyfort Tosca. I am hoping to get a foal from her but want the best blodlines possible without cross breeding her, is this possible with another Twyfod 'T' or do I have to look at another letter line?

Also If I breed foal at home, by another Twford, can the foal still have the Twford pre-fix, or is that reserved for those born and bred at the stud? :eek:Breathe!

Do I win the prize for the most times anyone has typed the word twford in one thread? i thank you lol!

if you know your breeding you'll know what i'm on about, if not you'll prob just think i'm a mad loony, thats true too!

Remember,If its not a Welsh pony, its just a pony!

Cheers. xx

Can't answer the T question but can tell you only Twyford stud can use the Twyford prefix. You'd have to register your own prefix if you want one for foals you've bred yourself.

Can't help on the in breeding side of things but can ask for you, a friend of mine owns Twyford Tempus who you MUST of heard of surely?

She breeds a lot and am sure she got a twyford mare or two also, will ask her - she in Yorkshire too;)

Mrs Mountain has the Twyford stud in West Sussex, there are some pics on the welsh society website. They are fab ponies and it's a very well established stud.

I know of the Twyford stud, but getting her there would probably cost more than the stud fee. I was also looking at Twyford Trumpet, but think he's too closely related to her, foal woul end up with 3 legs and 2 heads or something!
