the back of the dengie (i think) or other food packets have average height, weight and work scale. would that help. although they say mine should be 70kgs less than he is, so depends on bone as well

vet says 275 -300
welsh site says 250
food packets say 200

he is 275-285 most of the year, but in the above figures there is 100kgs difference!!!

there is an excellent video of weight scoring by scale on the veteran horse site

According to Baileys, 290-350kg 13-14hh ... from that I'd say for a 13.1hh 300-340kgish. That's a broad range!

It's pretty much impossible to give a helpful healthy weight. Not that you'll be able to use it anyways, unless you have a weight bridge! Weight tapes are hopeless for small ponies!

Much better if you condition score him. In the simplest terms you should be easily able to feel his ribs and see them faintly in certain lights. Not crest, not belly and not big bum.
